It’s very fun if you’re going there for the first time, and it’s always nice meeting new people in the artists alley. I’ve been going to CTN for several years (since at least 2009) and I can honestly say the quality of the event has deteriorated.

I would personally go to Lightbox, but again, check to see who is going to each and pick accordingly! It might be that none of the studios you want are going to Lightbox this year, or that all of them will be lol.įrom what I've seen on their sites, it seems that LightBox are getting studios like Pixar, Illuminations, and Sony Animations, plus more. DreamWorks, Disney, Sony, Netflix, and I believe BlueSky were all there so there is a lot of representation. However that could have just been last year, and there were plenty of people from many kinds of studios there. Lightbox has a lot more people going these days and I got more out of it than CTN, but Lightbox did seem to have more studios looking for front end people (storyboarding seemed to be the big one, same with concept).
